I have my Mom's old original "New American Cookbook" from 1941. I got it out this afternoon and paged through it. 3,933 recipes / 930 pages. No wonder we got fat! 🤣

It is great to have such a vast variety of great foods to eat. But I think it important to remember, it is not the cookbooks fault, nor the vast array of great recipes to try that made us fat...it was the food "we" placed into our mouth too much that got us fat. IMO.
