I had such a craving for something and then I recalled my grandma recipe - "Dressed Herring". It is super weird salad made of pickled herring bites, vegetables and mayo.

I know... sounds horrible...lol...poor people food…

But I love herring. When in Amsterdam, I always hunt for those stands with herring hamburbers. I can smell them half a mile away!

I managed to combine all ingredients\substituted into the portion of 6oz with only 8 net carbs. Plenty of mayonnaise. It gave me 420 calories that will drive me through the day.

The herring can be substituted by smoked salmon, crab meat, etc. to make this dish more elegant.

Thank you! It is hard to get real fatty herring in US - it just does not taste the same to me, as one in Holland. I ordered Sweden one, but it is still not the same. For Keto diet not many fish is fatty enough to maintain the ratio - salmon, herring, sardines and mackerel are the main ones.
