At Rural King to get bird seed for my feeders today. They have free popped popcorn. Hey thought me, I'll grab a bag for the parking lot crows. Hummm, no crows. OK I'll take it over to Publix lot. Ate half the bag myself waiting at the traffic light. Opps!

Thanks for feeding the birds! It can get so pricey but...

No where near as pricy as it was when we raised parrots. I get to feed and watch my feathered outdoor birds and don't have cages to clean now.

The birds around me like a certain type of banana. Feed them everyday. The squirrel come for a bite too. I'm used to birds that like seeds, so this banana thing is a bit weird still.

We feed birds and I have always called them when I feed them. Now I do it and every bird in the area starts tweeting. So much fun having habitat for them.

I agree, we have lots of bird activity. We like to attract small finches and our state bird, the cardinal. I find it fascinating to try to identify different songbirds songs. I find cardinal pretty easy to recognize. Hummingbirds are amazing to watch. We enjoy creating and maintaining a habitat for the birds I mentioned. We feed birds sometimes but I think providing an inviting habitat with plantings keeps them coming back. Oh, and the bluejay, woodpecker and the owl...
