Welcome back! Healthy eating and exercise is great for fighting depression. Don't be afraid to ask for encouragement here when you need it!!

For many years I'd been told that exercise would help ease the depression but I didn't believe it. In the back of my mind I just decided that they didn't really want to help me, but I've experienced it too many times now to doubt the truth of it. I still struggle at times, but after a year of putting it into practice, exercise is now my automatic go-to weapon to keep the profound sorrow and helplessness from overtaking me completely.

Welcome back, and good luck. We are all here, and don't forget we all have the same struggles. Been up and down for years, but tracking is my savior---fo real! If I slack off I am a mess. Mood eating is a big one for me, so I can imagine your depression (which go hand in hand, depressed want to eat crap, then eat crap and feel depressed and worse).....Best to you.

Welcome back. I've been back for two weeks and am realizing, in a new way, that changing the way I eat means changing the way I think/plan/eat, and it means forcing myself to accept feelings for what they are-feelings. I hope you find that focusing on your food plan and nourishing yourself allows your depression to lift.

It happens. I've lost and gained 50 lbs myself, and am starting fresh, too! I second what others have said about the power of exercise. For me it's just been walking so far. Welcome back to the journey, and may the wind be at your back!
