I am feeling much better after a couple of nights of sleep. The only draw back to that is that sleeping more than 4-5 hours causes my back to be extremely stiff and it hurts to do just about anything. Makes getting up and going a real chore. Doctor says it isn't caused by anything significant, not by my DDD or scoliosis, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt like hell!

I'm getting some cooking and cleaning done to get this place and myself back in order. It'll be nice to be able to have some home made food for the next couple of days instead of whatever pork rinds and miscellaneous nuts I find at the corner store across from work. Don't get me wrong, I love their spicy pork rinds, but I would rather not make that a daily occurrence!

Sorry to hear about your back pain! I suffered badly during a holiday weekend and couldn't sit or lay down. I was in agony. I was at the physio for another matter and mentioned my back problem. I was shown a dead simple exercise, and I went home pain free and slept for the first night without pain. If I hadn't been there to experience it it wouldn't have believed it. It might work for you, or it might not not knowing your back issues. The exercise is simply stand on hand and knees, keep a straight back and only move the pelvis from side to side (a controlled wiggle if you like), don't arch the back. Then move the pelvis up and down without arching the back, it's only the pelvis that should move. I've repeated this on several occasions when my lower back plays up, and it really is working for me.
