Very annoyed. Following Keto, so really trying to watch my carb intake. Went to pick up a rotisserie chicken (thinking healthy for dinner) looked at the label - it said dextrose (you all know that's sugar). Checked one website, I got one carb count, checked another and each website has different numbers. Grrr! Needless to say, MEAT should have NO carbs - it's meat for Cripes sake! Looking into it further, the spray the rotisserie chickens with sugar to make them brown and more appealing. Just Wow!

Is it just on the skin? Would it be ok to just eat the meat?

Yup...I learned that the hard way too. Easier to by a small roasting chicken and cook it yourself. They roast quickly

Dang.. I hadn't thought to look at the ingredients on the rotisserie chicken. I check the carbs, but didn't look at sugar or the ingredients. Trying to avoid all sugars is what is good, but wow is it hard. I guess we have to avoid all 'labor saving' foods and cook everything ourselves. Thanks for your post. {hugs} donna
