Back on the slippery slope of no motivation, gaining weight, increased pain so inability to exercise. I know what I need to do but sometimes it can be so difficult. My husband is disabled and I am his carer so my world revolves around his wants and needs which leaves little time for me. When I do do something I want to do I feel so guilty because he has missed me and doesn't like to be left alone.
I just need to pick myself up, dust myself down and stop moaning because it doesn't help anyone but sometimes it's so hard

Thank you, I'm sure you are right but my problem is me feeling guilty about it when he doesn't have much of a life.

Wow that’s sounds really tough. It must be so easy to feel overwhelmed and demotivated when trying to balance and juggle so much. Seems to me that you’re doing amazing things…

fundamental rule of caring for others is make sure you care for yourself. guilt is something we grow up with and therefore v hard to get rid of. We must domesticate it tho. My process is: if I am not caring for myself, I cant be strong or help or care for anyone.

There was a time when I was cared for and as much as I did not like being left to my own devices while my care person was taking time for herself I soon realized how beneficial that was for both of us and for our relationship. Once you take some time for yourself you will come back feeling happy, rested and full of positive energy and that will have an amazing positive impact on your relationship and his life, because, as you said earlier, he has not much going on, and you are his whole world. Start small, to give you both time to adjust, and then build from there ❤️

I feel for you! It's hard to have your life harnessed to a less active person. Getting out into nature, moving and getting sunshine is essential to your health and well-being. Your balance and strength is important for both of you. Please don't feel guilty about it.
