Fatty liver is a very dangerous diagnosis. If caught soon enough, even the loss of 10% of your body weight can reverse the diagnosis and it’s ultimate prognosis. That also means maintaining the weight loss and healthier eating habits. Fatty liver leads to cirrhosis and death. Not to be taken lightly.

I had some clots in my lungs last year and CT scan also showed fatty liver. I was surprised. I was 20lbs overweight but only had alcohol and fast food a few times per year. I haven't been scanned since shedding the fat but my bloodwork is that of a healthy 25 year old now (I'm mid 40s). Congrats to you for getting rid of yours!

You are absolutely right, this is huge. I didn't even know it could be reversed, but did know it is very dangerous. The wife of a man that my husband worked with had cirrhosis of the liver and she kept telling everyone that she had never been a drinker. She (nor I) knew it could come from sweets and high carbs. She talked about it at parties because she knew she dare not drink any alcohol or have desserts or sugar drinks.
