myawethinTICself's Journal, 26 February 2014

These last 3 days I have *not* been following the plan I set for myself however *tomorrow* is another day & I will *not* let people taking us to dinner, people inviting us over to lunch or me having an unexpected busy day interfere with the progress I'm making!
There. That said I feel refreshed already.

As for the journals they will begin again,as will another 2 weeks of the 100 by Jorge Cruise,on the 1st of March. In the meantime I will be reading & researching to educate myself more because when I *know* what I'm doing & *why*,I find it much easier to continue in the habits I'm forming to live a balanced, healthy life!

Go for it! You found what is working for you and that is what's most important. It will all be worth it in the end. Have a great evening!

During the past three months, I have learned so much from people at FS. I am still learning. I look forward to reading your journals. Keep it up!

Knowledge is power, and the key to success is finding what works for you. :-) Here's to a better tomorrow!

Smart, TIC. Very smart. Take it day-by-day, and remember not to let anything get you down. Yo is so right. Knowledge really is power!!! Also, if you're going out, try and arm yourself with as much of that knowledge / power before you go. I try to look up menus for the places before going, so I know what works for my diet and what doesn't. You've SOOOO GOT THIS! :D

You are on the right track.... your mindset will take you there. Remember "Growth is not steady, forward, upward progression. It is instead a switchback trail; three steps forward, two back, one around the bushes, and a few simply standing before another forward leap." - Dorothy Corkville Briggs

Mya, I can only share what works for me and hope that you can impart some wisdom from it. When people invite me to dinner or take me to lunch, the very first thing I do before even accepting is let them know that I have dietary restrictions and ensure that they are on board. Because the people I am agreeing to meet with know me and love me, they are so happy to comply. They will either agree to go somewhere that has food I can eat, or they will cook according to my requirements. I hope that this can help you in future social situations. Unexpected busy days, I'm not sure what to tell you there, but I carry meal replacements in my trunk that are approved for the diet I'm on. Not sure if such a thing exists for you? Best of luck, my friend!

Yep - just because you don't follow the plan every day doesn't mean you don't follow it at all. Progress, not perfection. That's the best any of us can do. You're doing great.

MRSM. What a great idea about explaining my "dietary restrictions"! I will try that the next time we are asked out. :D As for busy days...I need to ensure they arent so busy that *I* cant keep my "dietary restrictions". Afterall if I ask others to take that into consideration I need to be doing the same! Either others will work around my schedule or someone else will need to play Taxi. I was reading an article today that gave a suggestion of taking snacks out the door with me for such instances,as you do in your trunk. I'll try to commit that to memory *before* things get hectic. :D I appreciate your suggestions. :D

BELLA Thanks for the reminder! I am a perfectionist & it's an impossibility to meet *that* goal. It's a trait I dont really care for & am learning how to "let it go". Seeing progress *does* help with that. Thanks, again. :D
