A wonderful comfort food on a cold winter day.
Ingredients
Directions
- Boil the potatoes (peeled and chopped) with the onion (chopped) in water until soft. Mash lightly.
- Add chicken broth, milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Bring to slow boil.
- Add flour (shake in a container with a small amount of water) and simmer until slightly thickened.

Reviews
I used light butter and fat free milk, and it came it at 3 PPVS for me...but that was with 8 servings, like the original recipe. Tasty,but next time I don't think I'll mash the taters, I like my potato soup to have chunks of potatoes and a thin broth.And while the recipe doesn't say when to add the butter, I usually add mine at the end, just before serving.

Delicious! I weighed my potatoes because I'm on the weight watchers diet. I used 15.5 oz of potatoes. The way I calculated the ingredients it equaled 30 points. So im going to have six servings instead at 5 points each. The only ingredient I added that is not listed is garlic salt to taste. Its very good and I will make again!
