I'm still here. After taking a week off from my usual routine. I fasted yesterday for 36 hours. It was easy as always until I began watching The Great British Baking Show and then I began to fee hungry, switched to Person of Interest and the hunger went away,Ha!
I still find it easier to not eat than to hold my intake to 1200 Kcal a day.
I am still a total newbie wrt keto eating. I got a couple of cookbooks and will let you know what I think of them when I start using them. Just reading them so far.
Winter is coming up here in the Northland. I have done all the winterizing chores so I am ready for cold weather. Snug in my house and awaiting snow and ice. I love hibernating although I know lots of folks don't.

I am back. I have been eating low carb (<100gm) daily and fasting twice a week for 36 hours for 5 weeks now. For quite a number of years I have not eaten after about 5:30 p.m. I have lost 11.8# in 5 weeks. I am amazed. On my non fasting days, I don't keep track of intake and sometimes even eat quite a bit more carbs and occasional very dark chocolate.
When I was working on weight loss in the past, I could not lose weight unless I ate less than 1200 Kcal daily. I found that very difficult and never felt satisfied and never felt as though I could have any sort of treat for fear of falling off the wagon. I also didn't like keeping track of my intake.
With fasting I no longer pay attention to how much I am eating. Some days my eating stops well before 5 pm at 4 or 3. But I think that the fasting has made me more tolerant of not eating, not feeling that I had to put something in me to feel comfortable.
Anyway, just checking in. I don't know if I will keep posting but I just wanted to let you all know that I am still working on it.
Hang in there, Jean
