I have had the same problem. I started trying to lose weight again last summer and WW just didn't seem to work the way it did when I was younger. I read an article in a magazine about "Estrogen Dominance" and why it is harder for women to lose weight in their 40's and 50's. I decided my metabolism was asleep. They suggested 4 servings of protein (can be 1 egg or 1 cup of yogurt) 4 servings of whole grains, 8 serving of fruit and veggies (1 serving= 1/2 cup cooked veggies, 1 whole fruit, or 1 cup of lettuce). Sounds like a lot, but I can still do points and get it in. They also suggested some vitamin supplements. Do some research on Estrogen Dominance and it might help.

looking for a buddy
I'd love to hang out with you all. I'm 45 as well with 2 teenagers. I'm a WW expert since I've been on and off, on and off for years. Lose 30, gain 30. I've lost about 10 of the last 30 and am motivated again. The good thing is that if they make a 1 point version of anything I know what it is. Good luck everyone.

Let's get this party started!
Stay away from sugar and white carbs. Only eat whole grain carbs and Splenda if you need sugar. It will really help your cravings in a couple of days. Pay more attention to eating protein, (eggs, eggwhites, SF yogurt, lowfat cheese as well as lean meats of course. I always have this problem when I start to eat healthier. Your cravings will me much better in a couple of days. Even if you have to eat a few too many points to get through the first couple days STAY AWAY FROM THE WHITE CARBS AND SUGAR,
