HI All
Hi Emily.. Good choice to come onto the website. Good luck with Atkins. I joined almost 3 weeks ago and have lost 9lbs..and it has been painless. I also allowed myself a few treats on Easter day. I have decided to try 5:2 based on the good results my friends have been having. I am also joining the challenge to lose weight by summer...soon.

Older women????
Ah thanks mammylam for your reply... isn't it great to have a place to go for encouragement and chat... I'm on a 500 day today so I think I'm going to fast completely from food until as late as possible. I'm aiming to save as many calories as possible for later in the day. I find if I eat breakfast it leaves me lacking in options for later and I become really hungry.. not a bad thing I know but quite difficult when I'm at work and then late in the evening the temptation to eat becomes great ... so welcome another day and here's to another detox and possible further weight loss..

Older women????
Its good find a thread for the older woman and to hear others have the same problems as me; that being a body that definitely seems to be gaining inches and weight with each passing month! So... I'm 58 and decided a week and half ago to start on the 5:2 eating plan and so far so good.My weight was 80kg on my 1st day and 1 week later I weighed 76.4kg..I'm really pleased. Thanks for the many recipes on this site I feel certain lots of them will be very useful and enjoyable... I now need to make sure the momentum continues and I continue to stay motivated to return to a fitter healthier me....
