Yesterday I decided to get back on track. I listened again to the program - The Neuropsychology of Weight Control - I weighed and measured myself, restarted my food journal, and began to pay attention to portions and reduced how much sugar and refined carbs I ate. It feels good to be back.
Weigh-in:
229.0 lb
lost so far:
1.0 lb
still to go:
89.0 lb
Diet followed reasonably well

Recording what I have been eating and how much net carbs and calories are in the foods I eat has been enlightening. I eat far more calories and carbs than I would ever have dreamed of. I also noticed that I have the most problems with dinner and after dinner snacks. Now all I have to do is to look for ways to eat less during these times.

Yesterday I secretly ate 6 carrot muffins, a piece of lemon pie, and an apple turnover. All were free. Of course they are not really free. I will suffer consequences, one of which is feeling guilty and deserving of punishment. I did exercise and drink water and have fruit but I feel like I blew it. I am trying not to let that feeling push me into giving up. I need to do better today.

First day of the challenge
I exercised
I drank 8+ glasses of water
I ate 2 fruits
You would think I would be happy with what I accomplished. Instead, I am disappointed because I ate pop tarts this morning and I snacked after dinner.
