Ok, so I didn't lose weight. Should I be upset? Normally, I would. This time around it’s more about how I feel than what that stupid evil scale says! For the 1st time in my adult life, I am starting to feel healthy. So what the scale didn’t move. The silver lining is I lost 7.75 inches. That includes losing inches in the place that inches really need to be lost. LOL! And I lost half a percent body fat. I gotta be doing something right. Right? Honestly, the inches have been more of a motivation for me than the scale (for more than just obvious reasons. lol.) Even when the scale doesn’t budge or slings the direction I don’t want it to go, I’m still seeing results. It may just be an inch here or an inch there but it’s still less than it was before. Have I mentioned that scales SUCK?! Damn scale!

Yesterday was awful. Work was hectic from the moment I stepped in the door with one issue after the other. My workout buddy told me that she had joined a new gym. Due to a meet-the-new-boss lunch meeting, I wasn’t able to get to the gym; followed by getting off work late. When I finally got home, my hubby & I went to pick up Vann from softball practice. (Thankfully, he was home and able to take her.) She was sitting on the bench when we got there. A ball had hit her on the thumb during batting practice. It was swollen but not broken. At that point, working out wasn’t my #1 priority. BTW, did I mention that I completely forgot to bring snack to practice?? AAGGGH!!! All of the stress carried over and I didn’t sleep well at all. Ever had one of those nights, you wake up thinking it’s almost time to get up. Look at the clock and BAM! its 3 o’clock in the morning. And if you’re like me, getting back to sleep is easier said than done. I think I got about an hour more sleep. This week isn’t going to slow down either. Come hell or high water, I’m going to work out today. DAGGUMIT!!

HAPPY MOTHER DAY to all! Hope you're having a great Sunday.
I really wanted to start my day off with a workout. Snuggling was so much better. ;-) That's #1 thing I want for my mother's day... a great workout!!
Thanks to my wonderful hubby for my new bird feeder. It's just what I wanted. Thanks to Savannah for making me a beautiful new bag!! She makes the most beautiful things (Most post some pics.)

Work has been so busy that I haven't had a chance to update or check in on the web. Thankfully, Working out has helped me beat down the stress. lol. Tomorrow is going to be a challenge. I'm going to Olive Garden for my Mother's Birthday Party. Just gotta be strong and stay far far away from the breadsticks... no matter how yummy they smell. Praying for strength. ;-)
