I am retired/disabled due to double knee replacements and hypertension. I do well with my knees most days and my hypertension is well controlled with meds.
Twice in my life I have shed 40 lbs. Starting weights were 225lbs at 28 years old and 235 at 35 years old.
I have a goal to lose most of my excess weight by Nov 1, 2017. I am highly motivated by this goal as I was when I lost weight previously. The times since then that I was unsuccessful I never really set any short or long term goals.
I definitely need to do this for my health but I really want to be able to enjoy my outdoor activities more.

Sleeping aids when mind just can't stop working
I have severe sleep apnea, 72 episodes an hour of being knocked out of deep sleep. I also can't shut the mind down at bed time for several hours sometimes. I sleep on a CPAP machine which helps with rest but I have to take Trazadone to be able to go to sleep sooner.
Only issue is it's hard to get up in the morning and to shake off the effects.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
I like the idea of weighing every 2 weeks. Any sooner than that and I think I would see too many highs and lows.
