This Phase one stuff is really kicking my butt! I added an additional week because I did so pootly the first week. At this rate I'll never make it to phase two. For meals I'm fine. But my snacks and drinks.....it's like I have no will power. This week I've eaten strawberries, cherries and mangos. I drink apple juice. My meals are within Phase one guidelines but I can't stay away from fruit to save my life. What if I run an extra day or an extra mile....maybe it will just even out. :-) right?!?

Anyway, the weight is still coming off. It's fun to weigh in when the scale is falling but it's murder when it's rising. I don't even want to walk by a scale when I've gained.

I didn't get a chance to try the "fake" noodles(made from zuccini) yet but I'm doing them tonight. Wish me luck. Has anyone tried it?

OK ladies and gentlemen... I'm back!!! This is going to be a great week. I'm getting off to a fantastic start. I'm sticking to the diet reasonably well considering people keep asking me to bake and cook for them. I baked a cake the other day and I made chocolate icing to go on it so that I wouldn't be tempted. I don't like chocolate. Crazy I know, you'd think I'd have zero trouble with dieting. I do like candy bars just not, chocolate cake, ice cream, icing, brownies, etc.

So yesterday and today I ran a little over 3.5 miles. My goal is to do 3 to 5 miles/3 to 5 times a week. For breakfast I made a mushroom, spinach and tomatoe omlette and plan to have a salmon ceasar salad for lunch. My groceries were delivered yesterday so I'm planing on trying the "fake" pasta made from zuccini for dinner.

Also, my bestfriend (and roommate) is a body builder. She is preparing for a show ten weeks away and her preshow diet is a lot like south beach in reverse. It gets more strick towards the end. For example right before the show at the end of her diet she will be at phase one. So this will probably help me. Another friend runs marathons and wants me to run a half marathon with her in Virginia Beach this Labor Day weekend. I think I'll do it if I get the chance to train. Let me know if anyone is in that area and would like to run as well or come and support anyone who does want to run.
