Hey everyone!

I hate to disappoint everyone except Haley lol BUT we went to the beach and had an amazing Cinco de Mayo. We are going to hike the mountain and see the laser show next weekend on my birthday :)

The weather was perfect it was a beautiful day and I did lots of swimming. I'm already pretty dark complected and I still got a little burnt on my shoulders, but Todd bless his heart- is SO BURNT. I couldn't even hug him bye this morning when I had to leave to go to work.

We went to Jacksonville Beach in Florida. It was beautiful. First we swam in the water, jumping the waves then just laid out in the sun. The water was perfect temperature. We walked a ways down the beach and had dinner and drinks at Joe's Crab Shack sitting outside on the deck overlooking the ocean. Then we just walked miles and miles along the water on the sand talking. It was a very good day.

I'm really excited for next weekend too though!



UPDATE on weekly goal: I've been doing good!!! I have had some sugar because like I said I am not going to restrict myself to a completely sugar free diet, but I have cut back a LOT. When I've had craving I have told myself no and not gone and bought that pack of starburst or that ice cream I was craving. I did have a small vanilla milkshake Friday night and I don't regret it. It was delicious :)

I believe this is true. People with less stress and more happiness in their lives live a fuller, happier, and better life than those under a cloud of stress, misery, and depression. But just as importantly...

"A light body lives long"--Me :)

So light heart + light body = super happy, fulfilling, long life

I've decided to set weekly goals for myself each week to help me stay on the pathway to a healthier lifestyle. Every wednesday I will set a new goal for myself and make it through the week and the weekend. Just because the week is over doesnt mean I will quit with the goal. I will try to maintain it as a part of my lifestyle and add on the new goal.

My goal for this week is to cut back on sugar intake. I am not going to say I'll be 100% sugar-free because that is almost impossible...but I can control myself from grabbing that afternoon candy bar. I can cut back on sugar a lot.

I believe the most realistic way to reach a healthy lifestyle is to do it gradually with baby steps. That is why I am setting these weekly goals. It is too hard to just do it all in one giant leap. Unhealthy lifestyle one day--healthy the next. Does anyone else set weekly goals for themselves like this? If not would you like to start? What goals would you set?

Friday after work this week I will go train for 2 hours at my new job then go to my boyfriends. I'll get there maybe around 8 o'clock. Then we are going to go to a drag race. Also, as I have mentioned before, I want to start doing more active activities on my weekends. I was supposed to go with my boyfriend to hike Stone Mountain about a month ago, but it rained that weekend. Well we are FINALLY going to do it this weekend! Its a 1.5 mile hike up, and I am so excited. It'll be hot so I'll be sure to bring lots of cold water. After our hike up and back down, we are going to eat healthy sandwiches on a blanket in the field below and watch the lazer show they do on the side of the mountain. We may go out and shoot pool or go bowling after that. I'm really excited. If we don't end up doing that we are going to go to the beach where I'll do lots of swimming. I haven't been to the beach in years. What do you all think I should do? Beach or Mountain hike? Whichever we do, I'll take pics and it will be in my Wednesday goal journal next week :)

I gained 3 pounds?! I REALLY don't think it was a REAL gain though. Its that TOM for me starting this morning for starters and secondly I got SO MUCH EXERCISE this weekend. Dancing my asssss off all night long Friday and Saturday night then last night horse-back riding.


IT was my best friends bachelorette party weekend. We were in Savannah and we walked all day and danced ALL night. My legs are SO soreeeee its ridiculous. I'm walking with a limp. Granted I did drink a lot this weekend... but I didn't over eat at all I was very good.


Friday night was so much fun. We went to dinner and I ate salad then walked up and down River Street and got a drink from Wet Willies. After that we went to a dance club and everyone knows I won't turn down a dare and they kept daring me to go dance with some creepy looking people and I did of course. But then those creepers kept lingering around and following me around the dance club the entire night! I had about 10 guys chasing me and following me and dragging me around by the end of the night! A few of them were really hot.

Saturday during the day was a lot of fun too. We walked all around going from store to store. Didn't eat breakfast that day because we woke up so late but had lunch at Locos. Just ate a plain cheese quesadilla. We went into urban outfitters and all bought a pair of these really funny sunglasses with mustaches attached then decided to wear it the entire day with our matching batchelorette party tshirts.



We got so much attention. Some people loved it but most people said "What the hell?" and "Those people aren't normal" lol. Some people even stopped us to get pictures with us.

Saturday night we went out to a dual piano bar and had a lot of fun at the beginning of the night. By the end of the night so much drama had gone down that the bachelorette was CRYING and one of the bridesmaids got kicked out of the wedding (which is in 3 weeks and now she is short a bridesmaid). The drama was the bridesmaid-Lee was supposed to go down to Savannah Saturday to be at the party because Friday she wasnt able to. Saturday came and Lee wouldnt text Sara back or answer any of her calls. Finally at about 9:45 PM the bachelorette texted Lee and simply just said "I guess you're not coming, I wish you would have let me known"...now the problem was...we were going to have to come up with 170 dollars...Lee's share in the hotel suits. Lee finally texted the bachelorette back at about 11:45 a very rude message saying she didnt know if the bachelorette was drunk when she sent that but it wasnt fair for her to say that and she had a HELLACIOUS day and her son and husband come first. FIRST OF ALL...Lee is always pulling this crap. She didn't state what happened during the day, and secondly her phone was on all day when we tried calling she just wouldnt answer and if she knew she was having a hellacious day and wasnt going to be able to come she should have called or texted way earlier in the day than around midnight... So sara told her she would pay her for the bridesmaid dress and would find another bridesmaid. Well Sara was outside crying and this guy comes up and see her in her little bachelorette get up crying and asks whats wrong. I told him and I told him about the money situation and he opened his wallet and gave me $120 cash! I was like WHAT?! WOAH! THANKS! So that was pretty awesome...but then he was so hitting on me and trying to kiss me and buying me drinks and shots...I have a boyfriend so I didn't let him kiss me...but then he asked for my number...I didnt want to be like NO!!! Cause he just gave me 120$...so I gave him a fake number. I feel bad about it but at least I'll never see him again.



So I had to take a break from the journal to go take a poop and then I weighed myself again and only 195. So I only gained 2 pounds? Lol Hope everyone has a great day!


OH!!! ALSO. THis my last week working at the finance center THANK GOD! Life's getting so great!
