Since my last weigh in, i haven't made any progress yet. With the arrivl f my grandson, everything was on hold. I just want to enjoy every moment while he is here. But i will be resuming my challenge the moment they leave again 2 days from now.

Oh my, i could'nt believe that i dropped 2 lbs after a day in the beach. I kept on stepping on the scales to see if i really lost it, and I really did. At first, i was thingking, it might be water loss, but i remembered, all i did yesterday was drink lots of water. And I never felt hungry at any point during the day. But i do craved a little for something sweet. So i guess, its not water. Maybe the housework did a great job on my 1st day. I'm planning to resume my briskwalking today at school.

I just started my south beach diet this morning. Armed with a list of all the allowed foods, i went to the supermarket. Upon arriving home, i made a delicious menu of bell pepper egg omelet and pan grilled an eggplant to go with it. I did this using a small amount of extra virgin olive oil.
After that, i did some extra house chores because i am going to have a visitor this coming friday. My 1st grandson. So i forgot all about snacks.
As i am writing this, i am enjoying my lunch of tuna and broccoli with cheddar cheese toppings. I am really looking forward to my dinner tonight. I'm thinking of a dish made of stir fried vegetable topped with grilled ginger chicken.

Today is the first day of my south beach diet. I have no foods yet in the refrigerator that is found in the allowed list. But i am looking forward today for a great time in the supermarkets.
Now that i am nearing 43, i have noticed that my metabolism has slowed down. I dont like what i see in the mirror. My jeans are too tight, my love handles are bulging, and everyone is making comments about how big i have become. I believe its about time to start the Soutn Beach Diet.
