Hey guys.

Long time reader; first time writer.

I have a question. Over the past few months I've been eating 900 to 1000 calories a day, and I just recently read that this is not enough, and it's probably done damage to my body. So now I'm trying to up my calories, but it's been difficult. I've never had this problem before, as in the past my problems have always been related to overeating.

So my question is how do I raise my calorie intake healthily? It feels wrong to be full all the time, which is how I've been the past couple days just trying to eat around 1200 calories. I want to continue losing weight, so I'm thinking 1300 calories is a good place for me, a 5'5" 23-year-old female. So should I raise it gradually? Or continue the way I've been? I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.
