Sorry for the long length of time between posts.
As an update, I did have a very rough spell with the gallbladder, as I mentioned. I ended up suffering for days, before the pain was so intense, that I woke my wife at 2 am to drive me into the city, to be seen at UPenn hospital.
By this time, my gallbladder was so infected, that it was really a close call during surgery. If I would have had the gallbladder removed prior, I would have a real small incision; however, due to the urgency and complications, just below my rib cage, an incision almost a foot long had to be made.
There was a lot of recovery and follow up issues, so I am trying to get started again. At my highest point, I was over 360 pounds, so I am losing, I just need to get my fluid retention under control.
Talk to you all soon.

At hospital, after being admitted for severe abdominal pain. Found to have multiple gall bladder stones. Apparently, there doesn't seem to be an obstruction in the bile ducts. I am hopeful to get through this and be released tomorrow. I miss my wife and my dog. More importantly, I want to own my life again, and be a healthier, happier and more supportive person than this stranger that I have become.
In losing weight, I hope to lose the sleep apnea (and resultant CPAP machine), and my difficulty in breathing. By admitting to myself and being accountable, I now can change for the better. I have allowed my life to fall apart.
I was always physically fit, very strong, with an unstoppable attitude. Now, I am a shadow of my former self. I am 140 pounds over weight, with poor health, and all of the resulting mental and physical characteristics of that systematic abuse.
This day is a rebirth for me. I am going to reforge myself into an effective, healthy role model, and dedicate myself to helping my friends and family, and share every essence of my soul to people who need a shoulder to lean on. This is my pledge and my promise.
I look forward to the support that I may receive and that I can offer in the future.
Carpe Diem,
David W.

I have always been intrigued by learning about the different survival methods of different species, and am particularly intrigued by this concept. When I was younger and athletic, I never really drank soda or a lot of meat. Mostly fruits and vegetables, and regular water. As soon as my lifestyle changed to more rushed, eat out, take out, and convenience foods, I immediately felt sick every day, and guess I got sucked into the rut.
Humans were always carnivores, but they were also gatherers, eating a large majority of their diet from fruits and berries and stuff. I know that they didn't have advanced healthcare to prolong their life, but they were lean, muscular and efficient.
So, with the addition of advanced dental and healthcare, it seems reasonable to me that as "un-enhanced" foods. We don't even know what or how our cattle is being raised, our vegetables are grown with artificial chemicals, and their isn't really an oversight process!
Now I am not saying everything is an conspiracy or anything like that, but farmers have to do what they have to do to survive themselves; It doesn't make sense that we buy produce and meats from foreign countries, and our own economy and country is compromised!
We have farmers that are dedicated to growing a quality product, meat sources here, why do we continue to not buy locally and increase the economy and well being for us here???
