So I started all of this because I went to the doctor in March at 193 lbs. (my highest pre-pregnancy weight) and my bad cholesterol was too high. I am only 40 and have a daughter who is almost 4. To have the doctor say out loud I need to change my diet and exercise or I need to go on medicine was a good motivator. I can't believe in my health charts I am diagnosed as obese (another blow). I have been seeing a dietician and a medical doctor every 6-8 weeks and have learned quite a bit about changing my diet. I get frustrated because it is hard to balance the time with my other responsibilities (work, home, family). I'm hoping to get some good ideas from other moms struggling with this too.
