Today has been very blah. It is freezing outside and I was not motivated to do anything! I did make a pot of chili, but that was about it.
Tomorrow is a busy day and when that happens it is hard to stay on the diet. I have an early breakfast meeting, eating lunch out with a friend, a mid-afternoon appointment plus a 6:30 appointment so I will be cooking dinner late.
My plan is to eat a veggie breakfast cup before the breakfast meeting (last time I went they served donuts)and pack some celery sticks and a cheese stick to ward off hunger in the afternoon. Hopefully all will go well. :)

Well I made it through the SuperBowl without the chips, pizza and cookies! Yea!!!!
I made healthy snacks that I could eat: cottage cheese stuffed celery, portobello mushroom with melted goat cheese, crab stuffed tomato and raw veggies with low cal ranch dip. Instead of feeling deprived, I felt empowered - I can say no to unhealthy food! :)

I lost my first 10 lbs! I feel healthy - more energy - more focused. We ate out last night which was hard navigating ordering a healthy meal instead of what I normally would have. The food was very tasty and I didn't feel like I had to settle and give up something.
I am having trouble with wanting something sweet like chocolate. But, I am a food addict. Once I start, I can't quit. I have eaten whole pies and cakes before. I can not eat just one piece! At least I am getting a grasp on my limitations. I don't know how to curb this tendency. I wish I could be satisfied with a bite or two.

I started my diet on Jan. 15th and lost 6 lbs the first week and 0 lbs the second week. I only cheated once (after a disagreement with hubby) eating a handful of fritos and two handfuls of hershey's kisses.
I feel much better physically eating healthy! I am planning to start from couch to 5K this week - after the cold snap passes through - Thursday or Friday.
My short term goal is to lose 10 lbs by Feb. 14th - this includes the 6 I have already lost.
