It appears I've hit the goal I set for myself some months back and so will now tweak my diet to slowly introduce good carbs that I'd been strictly limiting.
For me, the key to success is starting with very, very low carb (ketosis)
and sticking with it as long as you can
. Your blood numbers will improve, your weight will improve and you'll be training yourself in a way of eating that will make slowly introducing more carbs seem luxurious. Just stay away as much as possible from bad starches and sugar, and keep your saturated fat intake high. That's what works for me.
