Age, too much of the good life and too many lower body injuries from 20 years playing rugby have combined towards me putting on the pounds. As with everyone, I've managed to lose most of it in the past but put it back on again.
I'm having one last crack at losing the weight and now that I cycle around 20k every day, keeping the weight off should be easier. The problem is, I've always viewed going to the gym solely as an extension of my rugby training and now lack the motivation to work out three or four times a week since I decided to call it a day with the rugby.
