Great advice from everyone, and I am going to really work at following through. I need to keep healthy at this time, not give myself even more to get depressed about.
Grief over one things tends to bring past grief, and I am thinking a lot about my mom. I miss her terribly. But, she was a strong person and would tell me to keep my head up and take care of myself. So, I will try.

Pathetic Day!
3 Chocolate kisses, a 3-pack of Reese's Peanut Butter cups, 1/2 sleeve of Thin Mints, 3 Tootsie Rolls.....what else????? This is what I supplemented my healthy meals with yesterday! After giving an "ultimatum" to my husband of 15 years about getting into counseling for personal as well as ongoing alcohol issues, I was anxious all day and gave into any and all cravings! Since the anxiety is likely to continue, as he has until the end of Oct. to "comply", I need some healthier ways to cope. Help! (Today, so far so good, but I can hear that "I just don't care about eating healthy" voice coming back already).

Trying to stay on track. Tough when I get discouraged, like zero weight loss, but I will not give in this time. Kids activities are picking up, so less time to make complicated dinners. I need to look more cclosely at recipes for those quick and easy ones. Feeling down today. Since I work at a school, I will try to touch base with some of those especially resiliant kids who always bring a smile to my face. Maybe I'll call my dad (mom died a year ago last July). Although sometimes talking to dad makes me sad, as I am 4 hours away. Bad time of the month!

I am ready to get started, although know how much of some foods I eat may be a challenge in itself. I am not used to measuring each item I put in my salad..we'll see. Good luck everyone!
