I'm pleased with the results of my new diet. I made it up for me and the challenges I was facing and I am seeing good results. This is something I can live my entire life with, so it is doable and sustainable. What I am doing is giving up all treats except for holidays and immediate family birthdays, then I have a little something. I also allow my self a taste of any desert that is new, but only a taste not a huge piece. I have to be able to rate it. I am a care taker for my elderly in laws and so I can't cut out deserts because they want them basically after every meal and they are at a point in their lives where they deserve it. I try to make healhier options for them but still something they enjoy. For me all the deserts were driving up my blood sugar and I had to take care of me so I could take care of them. So basically I am cutting mostly highly processed carbs and sugars. Nothing is off limits, just limits of when and how much I will eat.
