How to cultivate a child's love for sports?
This is more a what not to do--coming from someone who grew up in a not very athletic family in a sports-obsessed, body-conscious culture (Texas). The message I got throughout school was "only play sports if you are good at it," which I very much wasn't. So I didn't ever stick to anything for very long. I wish I had more people around me saying, "I'm not very good at this--I'm not the fastest or the best--but I know it's good for me, and it makes my body feel healthy and strong." It sounds like you are working hard to do that already!
