They're not "The Biggest Loser" numbers, but I'm happy with losing 8 pounds in 4 weeks. So far my total weight loss for Phase I, II, and III is 26 pounds. I'll staying on the foods from Phase III until I reach my goal. I haven't decided how often I want to weigh in. I weighed after every phase. Maybe I'll go every 2 weeks. Well, only 74 more pounds to go! Jim M

I didn't really have any expectations for this weigh in. I haven't weighed myself since the end of Phase I. I knew I would have been happy with 4 or 5 pounds. So I was thrilled when I stepped on the scale to a 12 pound loss for Phase II.
I think this is where things started to go bad for me last time I did this, when I started Phase III that is. It's not a whole lot different than phase II, but it does allow for more freedom, and so I think that creates some problems for me.
I think maybe what I'll do since I'm so accustomed to eating what I have been eating the past three weeks, is that I will stay on Phase II, and then if I feel a need to "cheat" I can use the freedom in Phase III to handle that as it allows for some deserts.
Also, I'm a little scared to start eating more. Like today when made my eggs, I was like, "Oh, I get to have 2 whole eggs". And so when I thought about it, I got a little nervous about that for some reason. But I think that thinking is a little unreasonable, so I did have that 2nd whole egg. But I am going to stick with what I have been eating and doing as long as I am losing weight.
Also, for the question of how closely followed, I know I followed it better than reasonably well, but they don't have another choice, so I picked 100%. I would say I followed from a food perspective of 90-95% As far as exercise I would say not very good...50%, but I'm working on that.
I hope everyone has a good day, and week.
Jim M

My first day on phase 2 (Wednesday the 17th) was the first day back to work after my 6 weeks of paternity leave. It's nice to get back into the routine. It will help with the diet for sure. Funny thing, when I got into the office they congratulated me with a spread of meat and cheese, cake, cookies, pop. Oh man! Oh well, I had one little piece of cake, and a roll with a couple slices of salami, and a Sprite. I don't think that was too bad considering what they had.

Well my first weigh in resulted in a 6 pound loss. I'm very happy about that. It probably isn't all body fat, but it's still a loss. I didn't cheat on phase 1. I feel great. I have more energy, I fall asleep faster, I feel slimmer. I did not exercise during phase 1. I'm still trying to find the time to do it. I have the Walk Away The Pounds DVD's that I have used before, but with our new babies 6 weeks ago it's been difficult to find a time to work out. I'll have to work on that. I'm so glad I get to have beef in phase 2, and just more options overall. Yesterday while I was still on phase 1 I had to choke down my beans and rice. I'm not going to weigh in again until the end of phase 2. Well, on to phase 2.

losing 7.0 lb a week

The first time I tried the diet, I made it to phase III, but got off track after going on an impromptu trip for a couple days. I did lose 10-15 pounds during that time, and I really liked the structure of the diet, so I am back on it now. My goal is to lose 100 pounds.
