January 18th -
Food diary -
Breakfast - 2 eggs, whole-grain tortilla, cheddar cheese
Snack - apple
Lunch - splurged on 2 pcs fried chicken, fried okra, jalapeno poppers
Dinner - leftover pizza chicken w/ a couple of turkey meatballs, spinach salad w/ caeser dressing made from greek yogurt, and flax seed-breaded eggplant.
Desert - Since I quit the chocolate challenge (required daily weigh-ins and updates), I decided I'd have a couple of pieces of fudge.
Exercise -
AM - Vibram foot fitness, pushups, and a bike ride to work
A couple of short walks during the day, plus up and down the stairs a dozen or more times
PM - bike ride home
Challenges -
Vibram Foot Fitness in the AM, 100-ups after I got home. Ran around barefoot most of the night.
No walk for Hercules, but we did wrestle and roughhouse for a good 20 minutes (he initiated it after Ladybug climbed up on my lap; just a little jealous).
Forced myself to enter my food into the diary this morning. Not as bad as it could have been, but I am just too impulsive with food.

Exercise today -
AM: Warm-up with Vibram foot fitness and 100-ups, some inversion table stretching and crunches, then 60 squats. 9.44 mile ride to work.
PM: Ride home, then a short walk with the dog. Going to finish with some foot stretches, inversion table, and then an hour or so of Wii with the wife.
Food today -
Breakfast: energy bar and Atkins shake
Snacks: apple, sunflower seeds
Lunch: Atkins shake
Dinner: Starving, ate more than I needed. Pizza chicken, whole-grain pasta, and oven-fried eggplant (breaded with flax seed).

I'm still not eating perfectly, but I am doing better - and it's showing on the scale.
I managed all my mini-goals for diet (drinking water, fruit each day, no fast food).
My exercise plan is much easier for me to stay on. Commuting by bike gets me the majority of my miles each week, and the Vibram foot fitness and 100-ups are helping with the plantar fasciitis - still scared to actually run but I can walk and jog more already.
I completed Week 3 of the 7 Weeks to 100 Pushups, got 2 Spartacus Blood and Sand workouts in, and logged 61 miles between running and cycling.
I dropped the sit-ups because we purchased an inversion table; I'm doing inverted crunches instead.
Best workout of the week - Lindsey and I took the dogs cycling with us. Hercules ran part of the way, but mostly they got to ride in the bike trailer. Lots of fun - we enjoyed it and they did as well.
New mini-goals:
Diet:
1. Grapefruit. Ugh, can't stand grapefruit but I keep reading how good it is for you. So I'm going to try to have grapefruit twice a week.
2. No bottled dressings. Already started making our own dressing with Greek yogurt, will expand this to a homemade Caesar dressing (Greek yogurt-based) and a citrus balsamic vinaigrette.
3. Continue drinking plenty of water and eating fruit 1x day.
Exercise:
1. Vibram barefoot exercises and 100-ups 6 days/week
2. Continue 7 weeks to 100 pushups (Week 4)
3. log 50+ miles
4. Spartan Blood and Sand circuit training twice this week
5. Stretching on the inversion table twice a day
6. Inverted crunches 3x a week
