Beer
A GOOD beer, a REAL beer is on average 160 calories per 12 ounces- Here's a little perspective on what 160 calories is (and by the sound of your post, you cover more than one of these each day)...

(based on a 150lb person)

Washing Windows — 30 minutes will burn about 150 calories.

Doing the Dishes — Skip the dishwasher and do them yourself to burn 75 calories in 30 minutes.

Rearranging Your Room — 30 minutes of moving furniture burns 225 calories.

Vacuuming — Burn about 100 calories in 30 minutes.

Painting — Tired of your beige bedroom? Pick a new color and burn roughly 100 calories per 20 minutes of painting

Cutting the Grass — Mowing the lawn will burn 160 calories in 30 minutes, as long as you’re pushing the mower yourself.

Washing the Car — Burn about 150 calories in just 30 minutes

Gardening/Raking Leaves — The digging and raking you do are big-time calorie burners. You can burn up to 100 calories in just 15 minutes!

Walking — Fifteen minutes of brisk walking will burn approximately 100 calories.

I'll join you for a beer, you deserve a cold one. Cheers!

I need advice (long)
I agree with Karabeth!!! You need to get out of the house with like-minded people. Fitness classes, maybe cooking classes, even just a night to visit a local coffee shop with a good book, something you really enjoy. I also believe it should be something you do for yourself (not just Mommy & Me activities) and put it on the household schedule. These nights are for you, just like your husband has his "buddy nights".. meaning, he stays home with the kids and the house and chores... and maybe he'll also gain a little perspective on how you feel when he leaves you behind.

Kids make it look so easy, they can walk up to any other child on the play ground and ask "You wanna play" & BLAMMO! instant friend. As adults we tend to internalize and worry that we're gonna face rejection. I call b#llsh*t. Be confindent, know you're an awesome woman and if you meet a person that you think would be cool to hang out with.. go for it!!!

Calorie counting device?
FatSecret has an app for smart phones.. it syncs with the website (convenient). If you need a tracker that doesn't require internet, they have hand held models.. Check out CalPal digital calorie counter or Calorie Smart hand held tracker.

green tea?
I've heard a few things about green tea... The asian community swear that drinking a cup of green tea after a meal help with digestion, breaking down fats and "flush" them quickly. It is also a great source for anti-oxidents. As far as the supplements go, like "Mega T", most of the studies show that the caffeine content is the main fat burning property, but there is not a ton of data supporting it's effectiveness.

In my unprofessional opinion, fresh brewed green tea (with or without caffeine) would be the way I would go... The pills seem like a waste of time and potentially dangerous if you have a sensitivity to caffeine.
