Well I signed up yesterday but don't have anyone to go to the grocery store for me this weekend. So I start on Monday...I will still do my best to stay away from the carbs till then. I have two Buddies and I thank them for asking me just that makes you feel good.
I had my 2eggs a spoonful of peanut butter and My Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr pepper for breakfast..I'm a big soda drinker.....I want to start trying to drink more water...baby steps I did drink a (one) as in 1 LOL bottle of water yesterday....but even when I had kidney stones I still had a hard time with the water thing.
My husband (he as done no carbs for about a year and a half now)used to work third shift, would get home around midnight. I would have dinner waiting for him which was some kind of meat and a veg. When I made dinner for my Kids,my mom (who lives with us)and myself it would be with a side dish. A side dish with CARBS CARBS and more CARBS...Isn't that what we were taught? I'm 46...growing up you had meat,veg sidedish and icecream for dessert and in my house if we didn't lick our icecream bowl my father (who taught us this little habit) would think we were not feeling well. Sorry I digress...My husband, has now gotten a new job..YEA!! He now works 8-5 and eats with the family. I must say I'm having a hard time adjusting but want to adjust if that makes any sense. I feel my kids still need that carb filled sidedish but don't know how to break them or me of that habit.
My doctor has told me to eat a spoonful of peanutbutter before I eat a meal the protien in it helps to digest faster (I think) I don't produce so much insulin..OOH I've just been diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes I have to take pills no shots....I need to lose the weight for that reason also. Doc wants to try and contol it with just diet at some point and I would like to also. My Dad is Diabetic (HHMMM whod a thunk) and does shots...has heart problems a stroke a year ago...I think this is pretty good motivation to lose weight...But MOST of all I want John (sorry my husband) to look at me like he did when I didn't weigh so much....Don't get me wrong My husband loves me is so supportive of the agoraphobia and is a prince among men....But he has lost over 65lbs since choosing no Carbs. Seeing old pictures of us both heavy...and now see us side by side. I'm jealous..I don't want to fit into my wedding dress again or anything. I just want to feel good again. I hate sitting down and feeling that roll.
Again I CAN DO THIS because I want to do it. I will do this....I just say to all of you I might need a little help every now and again.
