maintaining 160lbs after a week of trying to force an extra 600 cals a day, right out of the gate to end weight loss. BUZZZZ!
I tried on day 1. but, only got up to 400 cals. feeling like CRAP and still 60 grams of fat behind.
After my shoulder recovers, I can try to be more active and Maybe then I'll be able to add that may cals.
for now, I chose my protein g cravings to build my fat and net carb settings.
I do have dreams of being able to run again.
as it is of now, I haven't been able to break into a run since Oct 2010.
I hope someday to be able to play pickle ball with my cousin.
triple disc replacement did a real number on me, physically and mentally to the brink the first 5 yrs.
I taught myself to stand and walk again this past June.
This keeps popping up in my head. Why can't I do that again with running?
There is mechanical mobility issues to try to retrain.
wish me luck.
thank you all for your filling and supports.
I'm not on here as much as I was when I lost my nearly first 60lbs of the currently 75lbs loss.
I learned much from others and also asked advise from those who were the same as my way of eating.
I also expanded my horizons by witnessing others way ppl were making themselves healthy & happy!
fs is a plethora. of info.
Thanks everyone

today's weight 160.08.
I slowed down my weight loss by eating more protein.
it's time to declare job done.
as soon as my shoulder recovery is final and of course ok with my Dr., I'll start some toning n light weights or get out my chin up bar.
the chin up bar was my friend.
if I gained anything, I had to lift it the next day.
this time around I'm eating healthy and my blood work is awesome.
I have blood work due the 1st of Dec. my red blood cells were normal size 2 months ago👍 and cholesterol 177 from 230 6 months ago. It was as high as 380 in 2003 when I had a stent put in.
my Dr. was Leary about me eating Keto with my cholesterol history and double bypass in 2007.
Now he is onboard and says, KEEP doing whatever it is you are doing.
I say, 80% of my diet is fat. saturated fat for the most part. lol! he makes noises and shakes his head pretending, not to hear me.

maintaining weight nicely.
still recovering from should we surgery.
I can't wait for it to be ready to abuse, I mean use.
Then to start doing something for toning up and maybe put on a few lbs of muscle.
My, loosing 1-1.5 lbs of body fat days are behind me.
my body is reshaping..
30" waisted.
Oh, the loose skin....
I don't have a clue of what to do about this but, wear it like a badge of accomplishment.
as bad as it looks right now it's, a Hell of allot better than the 75lbs I was carrying around a year ago, August 28th. The day I had the fire in me to do something about it for my self and no one else.
I tried Keto in the past and failed, quite on myself.
I found out from watching Dr's on YouTube that, I didn't know what I was doing when I tried Keto. I had thought that Keto was an all you can eat and calories didn't matter as, long as I didn't eat fruits n grains....
I'm know I'm most likely preaching to the quire about this.
But, just maybe someone on FS is doing what I did.
tip 1, but a kitchen scale and weigh what ever goes into you mouth.
tip 2, find a Keto calculator and educate yourself about macro %'s.
This calculator will set you up according to your goal weight.
Stick to your plan depending how strict of Keto you desire.
I always did 80f, 15 protein, 5 net carb even from the beginning.
I maybe should have been on something less strict to ease into Keto.
after a month or so you will top out and stop loosing lbs.
Simply fool your macro's by telling the calculator your new goal weight is 5 lbs less than you're really trying to get to.
This will lower your macro's & cals a tiny bit but, you will start dropping again.
A very important thing is intermittent fasting.
for your sake, YouTube, IF and learn the health benefits of fasting & intermittent fasting. Essential if you are diabetic. ( my Lady friend is off of Her insulin now. No more injecting before and after meals or at bed time. she decided to do Keto and in 3 months kicked diabetes ass! So very proud of Her.)

There is a great wealth of knowledge of a vast variety of diet plans and goals on FS.
There is something for everyone here..
Everyone has the ability to accomplish whatever they desire when we decide to really do it!

27 October 2020

I'm maintaining 162lbs since my right shoulder surgery on the 13th of Oct.
I really don't have much fat left on my body but my body is reshaping. down to 30" waisted and only 2 pairs of long pants that kinda fit loose..
my shoulder surgery was a walk in the park compared to the many others (9 total) and 2nd time on this shoulder.
they gave me a nerve block in my neck that kept my right arm completely numb for 2 days.. awesome
I'm supposed to be wearing this sling for 4 months.
I don't think I've worn it a total of 4 days.
follow up with surgeon tomorrow.
life has been pretty hectic since dying in May and being burried in med bills instead of dirt.
I'm happy where I am in life. nice and content.
learning so much about myself.
I'll try to do a better job of reading post and comments.
that was and is my favorite part of FS.
see ya all in the post n comments. chow for now
