Doing well I think!?
I guess the biggest problem that I have are two things
1. I work closing at the store, when I get home, I get the munchies really bad.
I normally eat Cheerios (I do not record it, I should but I don't)= I guess the reason why I am doing that, is that it still has low sodium content.. and it satisfies that munchie part. I do eat a lot of salads, and small amounts of dressing which I do not record either (my cheat)
2. The other biggest battle that I have is going to the grocery store, and trying to find things that are low in salt. Wow, the last time I went I came out really depressed. I try to find foods that are in the single percentage digit in sodium intake, or near the 10 percent. The "main" meal, I tried to find near 20 to 25 percent intake content. But man it is hard.
We do not cook that often due to our scheadules, one I work from 2 to 10pm each night six days a week, my wife started a new job that requires her to work from 6am to about 12noon 4 days a week. (I usually am up till 2 or 3 in the am, then sleep till noon)
But I guess it is working since I have lost bout 4 or 5 lbs (I know that this is mostly water...)
What started all of this was that I have heart problems, from AFIB, aorta annyseum (which is too small right now for them to surgically repair it) and a mildly bad heart valve. My output of blood is at 30 percent (normal out put is 50...<no one told me that when they told me that it was at 30 percent. SO I thought wow, I must really be in serious condition-- but no I am not.. medications for everything..lol) arthritis in my chest, and esophagus spasms. The last two, can have the same systems of a heart failure. The good news is though is that all of my arteries are clear as a whistle...lol So at least for now no chance of a heart attack.
Well last Tuesday my afib acted up, my heart rate went up to 135 to 145 per minute. I had chest pain, pale, upset stomach, and pain going down the arm. It happened at work, so I thought that I would wait and sees if it settles down. Nope, so I went to the hospital and stayed over night AGAIN.
I hesitated to go into the hospital for several reasons, first I had gone in there for chest pains- to find out that it was either arthritis in my chest, or esophagus spasms acting up. I felt guilty of taking up a hospital bed, and spending money that I really did not have..
This last visit though woke me up again, and told me that I needed to get serious for a LIFE TIME dietary changes. I AM STRUGGLING WITH THAT idea!
Well that is all for now.. write later.. need to go to wrk..
*(I am having heart problems and work for a local fast food place, is that Ironic?-- asst. manager there)
