I started my very first ever diet, Keto on October 5, 2021. 5 weeks in and I had lost 17 pounds, plus three inches around my midsection.

I also experienced a TIA (also known as a mini-stroke). Thankfully, I suffered no discernable damage. It could have been much worse. My optimistic self chooses to believe that it's the benefits of my strict Keto diet that had something to do with my outcome being so good. (Doc isn't quite so convinced.)

Certainly, I'm not yet out-of-the-woods but I'm feeling pretty great. Despite that episode, my emotional state is now the best in years, even decades with many of my ever-stacking maladies having greatly lessened or disappeared.

I'm grateful for making the decision to focus on my health and fitness like at no other time in my life. I believe this is well-timed and I'm looking forward to each new step along my journey.

My hope is that it will be a well-lived and long-lived one.

On this day, I ate a total intake of 100g Fat, 18.5g Net Carbs, 82g Protein, and ONLY 1405 Calories. ZERO SUGAR! ZERO PROCESSED ANYTHING!

NOTE: These is not my normal dinner numbers but a perfect combo for a heavy workout tomorrow morning!
