explaining what you eat!
First, let me state, I am a member of PETA.
People Eating Tasty Animals.

If you don't want to eat meat, eggs, of drink milk. I don't care. Your beliefs are yours, and thats fine. I'm cool with that.

When you cross the relm into "moral high ground", spare me your self rightious indignation.

You remember the "grizzley" man? He just thought those big brown fuzzy wuzzy bears were just the neatest thing. Such gentle giants. Then they ate his dumb butt. Derp, derp.

Animals are animals. If they have the abilty to kill you, they will. I am at the top of the food chain, and intend to stay there.

I like meat, eggs and milk. Sorry if it offends some that I don't "care enough about the animals" to not eat them. They taste to good to give them up for tofu crunch.

As a side note, of those that belive animals have feelings, what makes you think plants don't? Do animals have some "right" to live, but a plant doesn't?

Caloric Declining Balances
Thats weird... My phone app tells me how many I have eaten.

Opening screen tells me how many calories remain.

Then when I click on food, I can see how many I have eaten. Even to go as far as to what, when and where the calories came from.

My RDI is set at 2700, so some quick math tells me all I need to know.

Entering Just Nutritional Information
You could make your own recipe in the foods section I would suppose. Then next time you make it, it would be there for you.

weight loss surgery
Good luck to you, which ever way you go.

I had a step sister that did the gastric bypass surgery. She too had tried diets and it didn't seem to work. Looking from the outside in, it seemed to me she wasn't 100% comitted to these diets she was doing. Cheated here and there, and IMO, led to her failure to make the diet work.

She had the surgery, and what she could eat was dramatically changed. No more sugars and refined carbs, no more eating lots at a sitting. She could only eat a portion about the size of a hotdog at a time. She RAPIDLY lost weight. Skin was very loose. It couldn't catch up and shrink to her weight loss. She then went back in for another surgery to cut her loose skin off. When all was said and done, about two years later, she looked good. She wasn't skinny, but she wasn't overweight anymore either.

Fast forward ten years, and she is about 3/4 the size she was pre-surgery. She again now eats the things that made her sick in the begining (sugars and carbs). She now is back to eating large portions.

I tell you this, not because I am tring to scare you off the surgery. It's your personal choice. But I tell you because I want to share that the surgery isn't the real answer, IMO. Dedication, will power, and taking control IS the secret to sucess. You must arm yourself with knowledge, and seek help where you need it. Perhaps it's therepy, perhaps it's neutrition, perhaps it's even just support from people who have walked in your shoes.

Most of all, you need to hold yourself accountable and dedicate the rest of your life to this. This site isn't about "dieting" it's truely about a lifestyle change. There are MANY tools here to help you along your journey.

Even with the surgery, you'll need dedication to the new lifestyle, or it too can and will fail.

Again, good luck Julie. I wish you the best and all the sucess.
