Week 2

So I'm sure my old, weary mechanical scales must have been lying to me last week when I weighed in, because I noticed during a sneaky mid-week "progress check" that my weight had shot up by almost 10lbs(!). So my target of losing 14lbs is now an impressive 23lbs. I've recorded it anyway, and have resolved to buy some new (hopefully kinder) scales, which will tell me that this has all just been a horrible lie (yeah, right! - lol).

In other news, I attended my first ever group exercise class today down at my local sports centre. It was a 'Bums, Tums and Thighs' class and I can confirm that I am now somewhat tender in the aforementioned areas. In fact, I've decided that I enjoyed these classes so much that I've gone and booked myself in for a spinning class tomorrow evening and you know, I might even try one of the 'Step and Sculpt' classes later in the week!

I'm off to Marmaris, Turkey at the weekend for a nice week-long break with the BF so won't be weighing in on Monday, but I'll be thinking of you all while I'm on my sunlounger :D

Week 1 - third time lucky?

Yippee! I'm back! Wow, it's been a long time! When I logged in, it reminded me of everything great about this site - the community atmosphere, the 'challenges' to inspire and motivate people, the amazing recipes donated and how easy it is to log your food and exercise, and all the memories came flooding back, and with that so did my motivation to succeed again.

Back in 2008, when I first joined FS, I managed to go from the 150s right down to the 130s (well just about!) and I met some amazing people (I hope you're still here, cindyshine - my first buddy on FS!)

I've fallen off the wagon twice before but I've just finished my second year at university, I'm on summer vacation and I thought well, what better time to pick myself up and get back on it! I'm back where I was back in '08 but this time, I'm going to do it!

I can't wait to share my thoughts (and hopefully, losses) with you all along the way! Until next week, amigos! :)
