Ok, I can't deal anymore and must eat something besides jello. Since I'm eating so late, I may even gain tomorrow.. blah. Oh well, this entire thing was to try and keep me out of the hospital, if gaining a bit keeps me out fine. Hopefully eating won't make the pain come back, if it does come back, I'm literally heading right for the hospital. LOL good thing I have the app on my phone for this site just incase huh?
I'm going off of mayo clinic's site on what I should eat that would be semi ok I guess. So I'm making some noodles. No real nutritional value in them, but at least they are solid.
From their site:
Diverticulitis diet once signs and symptoms begin to resolve
As you start feeling better, your doctor will recommend that you slowly introduce low-fiber foods.
Low-fiber foods include:
* Canned fruits
* Desserts without seeds or nuts
* Eggs
* Enriched white bread
* Fruit juice with little or no pulp
* Low-fiber cereals
* Milk
* Yogurt or cheese without seeds or nuts
* Smooth peanut butter
* White rice or plain pasta, noodles or macaroni
* Well-cooked vegetables without seeds or skins

Ok, this liquid diet is killing me. I want food... real food. I'm afraid to eat it though because of how much pain I was in and afraid that eating will cause the pain to come back.
I figure if I can get through today with this liquid diet that hopefully that will be enough time for the antibiotics to knock this infection completely out of my system.
I was able to do some exercise today though although after 30 min of it I felt kind of dizzy. I figure tomorrow I'm going to eat food (low fiber stuff) and if the pain comes back, I'm heading to the hospital.. man, this royally sux.

Yesterday I only had a Shakeology due to trying to give my digestive track some 'rest'. I'm not sure if I'll eat solid food today or not because my tummy is like 3000% better today from not eating. I still have a tiny bit of pain so I'm thinking if I go one more day without eating, I can probably knock this infection out completely.
Key thing is to drink A LOT so I don't get dehydrated during this 'medical fast' lol.
I expect that in the coming days I'll probably have some regain of the weight I'm losing from this liquid only diet while I fight this infection, and I'm ok with that, as long as I can get this infection gone. I hate going to the hospital when this happens, if I can find a way to fix it at home.. yay for me and this seems to be working :)
**For anyone reading this, do not try this to lose weight.. I'm only doing this because I have a digestive medical condition called diverticulitis which is a painful infection of the colon.**

Well, it's 7pm and I haven't eaten anything (except the Shakeology I just made).. and my tummy is feeling much better since I stopped eating. Hopefully, with the antibiotics I have and not eating I can clear this up asap so I can workout again by Monday! :)
