Lately is has been more struggle than strength. I find myself filled with such great ideas of what I'm going to accomplish each day. At night when I'm getting ready for bed, or in the morning when I'm getting ready for work, it's "I'm going to do this, this and that." I'm full of energy for it and ready to get things done! Then the time comes....I'm home from work, and....nothing. Or very little.

I am absolutely a person that functions through the formation of habits and routines, so I need to focus on creating that new routine which will keep me on track in all aspects....house/yard work, health and fitness, my small business.... each day needs to see an accomplishment, even if it's just a small one. Baby steps are still steps in the right direction and some days that's all we can do.

I also need to get back into my journaling, so I can keep track of both my progress and find the patterns of how I hold myself back. Motivation, self-discipline, scheduling and lists are going to be my friends.

It was a long, late night, and I'm tired but I'm feeling so motivated! I attended the Pink Zebra Reunion virtually, and after the training sessions and Paisley Awards yesterday and last night, I'm just so inspired! I can't imagine what it will be like after attending in person next year!!

Anyway, the point is that, even though the focus of my thoughts last night was toward improving my business, I'm finding today that the positivity is lending itself just as well to my goal of being more healthy. I'm moving with more purpose and energy, and I just did some mini exercises/stretches while I waited for my second cup of coffee to brew. Great use of time!!

It just goes to show that if you become motivated in one area of your life, that vibe will spill over to ALL areas, so if you're struggling, choose something more "fun" or "interesting" to focus your energy on. When you become happier and more determined about that thing, you will feel it in everything you do!

Good morning, good morning, good morning!! Wow, it's been a YEAR since I last recorded a journal entry. No wonder I've been struggling to get by this plateau I've been stuck at!! Time to change that. We're going to get stronger, get toned and get healthy!!
I love that when following the exercises in mom's journal last week I noticed that I could touch the floor far more easily the second day. It's amazing how a little bit of movement you normally don't do can help you stretch out like that! My wish is that I can get to a point where I go to bed early enough, and get enough sleep to get up and do some yoga stretches, relax and read at least my Bible before I leave for work in the morning. 8:30 is my body's natural awake state, and I get up at 7:20, so we'll see.
I'm excited that I'm about 1000 steps ahead of what my goal is for this time of day, so if I keep up the pace, it should be pretty nice by the time I leave work.
It feels good to be back here, keeping track of my food levels and having people keep an eye on what I'm doing.
Let's go!!

I thought that, after all this time, it would be easy to just know my levels and eat accordingly without having to log in. I was correct about knowing my levels, but the eating properly is easy to ignore when I'm not holding myself accountable here. I do like to allow myself cheat days, but those need to be fewer than what they have been lately.
Today's challenge will be getting enough movement in since my work has me sitting at the desk more than I like to, but I am doing 20 toe touches, 20 side bends (each side) and 20 arm rotations (front and back) each time I go to the restroom while I'm at work. When I get home, I will be doing housework to stay active before I settle down for the night. Hopefully I can make these routines more consistent at least until the weather is good enough to walk on a nearly-daily basis.
