Hopefully this downward trend now continues....getting active again, eating healthy & probably abit to do with this rotten cold I have, is what has helped I'm sure.

The morning started off with 1 cup of coffee (a small cup at that) & then Carl & I went for a walk....1 hour & 40 minutes later we were back home. We had a big bottle of water that was 3/4 ice & 1/4 water...still had a bit of ice left in it.
Was lovely to be out in the sunshine & fresh air, & just chatting & checking out people's yards. I do need some new shoes tho I realize, so will probably head down to pick some up tomorrow morning. We plan to make this part of our morning routine. With Carl retired now, he needs to get into some kind of routine as he's already feeling weird not going to work lol.
Did a ton of gardening & yardwork yesterday so I know I've burnt off some calories....need to do stuff like this daily, a bit at a time. I have discovered also that I am weak....so definitely have my weights in mind very soon!
I work 3 days this week, then am back to Casual standing...I decided not to take the permanent part time..this way I can come & go when it suits me, & it's much easier for holidays as well.

Ok, enough of the 'diet' life. I'm going to follow the Canada Food Guide to the best of my ability, eat as healthy as I can with no denying myself of anything I might want...but!!! All things in moderation, even the good stuff. I will listen to my body better & make sure to drink more water daily. Exercise in any form is also a must. I want to get back into my old workout groove ... where I felt odd not working out in some form for a day.
