I am a total outdoorsman. I love the woods. My deskjob and long hours are starting to take their toll. I have gained 30 lbs since september of 2010. I am getting back to 200 lbs this year and going to keep it that way. I hope this site and fellow members can help me reach my goal.

Back on track...I have too
Skirch,

I feel that if I elinate junkfood from my diet and perform moderate exercise i can easily drop the first 20lbs. I think i will have to move into an extreme workout regimine after i lose the intial weight. I always plateau at 205 to 200 so i will really need to key in on diet if i can get to that point. I think 20% may a more realistic goal but if I can dream why not go for broke Smile

Back on track...I have too
Hello all. I just wanted to say that I will be back on track. My life has changed drastically since i first signed up for this site.

I now have a 7 month old son. When I was on break from bringing him home from the hospital i was able to exercise in the mornings and ended up dropping 10 pounds. This was short lived. I also started going back to school.

My company is haveing a weight loss competition. I think this may be the jumpstart i needed. They see that the company's health is not that great and awarding large cash prizes for winners. I know that no matter what I loose it will be better but with a top prize of 2000 dollars i have to go for broke on this. I plan to exercise at least 2 times a day with extreme workouts. I feel that most of my weight is in my stomach area and will focus hard on that. I want to drop a great ammount of weight in the short 90 days and try to win the competition. I hope I am not doing this for the wrong reasons but I need to do something about my weight. The competition starts on the 15th so I have 10 days to prepare myself for this competition.

I love watching shows like the biggest loser and love the thought of making myself better and pushing myself to the limits. I hope to end the competition with a loss of about 20%. Previous winners had bosted losses of 25% but i do not think that this would be healthy for me. I am setting my goal to get to 200 wich would be 18%.

Anyone have any tips on what will have to do in order to drop this weight quickly but not risk my health in the process. I am pretty certain that the first 10 or 15 pounds will come off quick by tightening my diet and actually doing exercise.

I am also on the committe to put the contest together. I am going to reference this great site, to the co-workers in my company to help get them on the right track.

Wish me luck. I hope they enjoy this site as much as I do.

Long Haul
Thanks for the insite. i do have a droid x2 and have already been playing with the app today. I like how you can scan items and search foods to update your callorie log. I plan on sticking with this.

with the support i got already i can see this was a wise choice and definetly a great app to have. I still need to learn the messaging and things like that on here but can't wait to start doing challenges.

I think this might get addicting. How often do you guys weigh in on here,

daily, weekly?

Long Haul
New member as of today. I need to make a lifestyle change.

I am 24 and 243 pounds. Never thought i would get this high. I did get up to 230 at one other point and promised i would never get above that. I got down to 213. I had kept the weight off for 4 years after highschool but in from september 2010 I put on 30 lbs. A lot has changed this past year or so.

I have a desk job and its tough to sneak in exercise. I am working 10 hour days with 1.5 hours of travel time round trip. So i leave my house at 6:15 am and dont get home until 6:15 pm. How can i sneak in some workout time.

How can i keep the loss of 43 pounds into persepective. It may take me until next year to lose this weight if i dont mess up. I see a lot of the members here with more than that they want to lose.

Help me understand how to keep it in perspective. I feel that i keep getting overwhelmed in the timeline.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
