I'll be 55 in Dec! Yikes! I live on the Outer Banks, work full time and love to Kayak, bike, cook, paint, sew and craft. I origianlly retired here until my husband passed away (and gained 60 Lbs!), but enjoy working again. My goal is to get back into shape, quit smoking and regain control! I joined the YMCA and have not been able to establish a regular work out schedule...getting there. With both my sons (recently) married and living elsewhere, I feel I can now concentrate on myself.
So my goal would be to be one hot lady by summer!

New to this and dieting
I guess I let things get out of hand since my husband died (4 Yrs ago) and now I feel strong enough to put down the Ben & Jerry's and start fresh. At first I stopped drinking and smoking, then started the diet. (Thought I'd lose my mind) Now, I'm smoking some, but dieting better. I've actually lost 10 LBS! When I get hungry (or crave a smoke) I crunch on celery. I'm beginning to feel like a rabbit, but still motivated.
