Good news/Bad news. My scale has been proven accurate to the Doctors! LOL was hoping I saw something a little lower, but at least I'm not kidding myself. And I only gained 1 lb from a week of wine. But I'm cutting the wine back again... Hubby will be home and I won't need a wine bottle to keep me warm at night!

Wine tasting and 2 days of slightly off-diet got me an ulcer. Saturday night, my reflux woke me up- after wine tasting and an AMAZING italian dinner which had very little pasta really- and I haven't been able to swallow anything without intense pain since. I've had it before. Just need to take meds for a couple weeks and SUPER limit eating and absolutely no drinking. But it will help the diet right? I dropped another lb, but I didn't post it because I knew it wouldn't stay. Haven't weighed myself since Friday evening. Don't know how much damage my weekend did yet. But I have a feeling I'm going to drop a lot this week. Hubby is off to a convention and I'm not likely to make a big meal for just me and my son. Probably cottage cheese and chicken for a few days. And eggs. And yogurt. Yeah, that's about it.

I was a bad bad diet girl last night. Guess I had to make up for those couple of days I was so low. I had a beer. No, not a light beer. An IPA. 18 carbs of pure GRAIN. no fiber. Nope. All stripped away. And that led to a double shot of whiskey and water. And then my Saag Paneer wasn't quite enough, so I had some lunch meat. My lunch killed me. But still my macros are ok and I had a small caloric deficit.Slept really hard too.
Looks like the rain here in California might be gone for now. My new bike gets assembled today so maybe I'll take a little ride after work. But I also have to do some food prep for the weekend. Going to Paso Robles for 2 days of wine tasting. There will be some walking, but a LOT of wine that will be difficult to measure. So we are taking easy to microwave foods with us like portabellos stuffed with meat, onion, spinach and cheese. eggs & bacon omelette for the morning and cheese and lunch meat for lunches. And a couple of gallons of water to refill the bottles we have had attached to us since we went to Italy last summer! I feel like the water is helping me let go of some weight. Well, I like to think so anyway. :)
Anyway, wish me luck with all the wine this weekend! It's a passion of my Husbands and mine and I can't let the diet take EVERYTHING from me.
You all have a great weekend too!

I never realized that "my own diet plan" is actually Keto! I always thought it was a modified Atkins! Never read up on Keto before but it's exactly what I'm doing and how my digestion feels best. Although I DO eat cheese. And low carb "yogurt". But little other dairy (can't digest it). I'll have a small amount of rice, quinoa or potato once in a while but still stay under 30 net carbs. I found YEARS ago that gluten is my enemy. Bloating, gas, tummy ache... I hate that I seem like a band wagon girl with Keto and gluten free, but hey, I feel better than I have in a LONG time. Now let's just see some more loss!!
