Woohoo, down another almost 3 lbs this week! That's a little over 7 lbs total. In class every week somebody brings dinner or snacks and tonight there was a huge plate of cookies...including Girl Scout peanut butter patties. I didn't have any. It was awesome. I had Panera at about 4:30 (class is at 5:45) and was full all through class, so that helped. I had some more of the southwestern style soup I made yesterday when I got home and my avocados are ripe so I cubed half of one and put that on top. Soooooo good! I also walked 2 miles today, so that was nice. I'm going to weigh myself again in the morning just to see what kind of difference I see between end of the day and beginning of the day. I can't wait until I'm comfortably below 250 and can go to the doctor and have them not have to slide the big weight over past the 200. Does that make sense? I know what I mean -- the doctor scales where the top slide is in increments of 50 lbs and the small one is in 1 lb increments. Yeah.

I don't feel like this is very coherent, which would be because my roommate just got home and is in my room tlaking to me, and the tv is on, and I'm tired, etc. So, the end!

I weighed myself with clothes on (no shoes) like I did to get my starting weight, but I think I was wearing way more clothes this time than I was a week ago. I got 263 exactly. I did it again without clothes and came in at 260.8. I think last time the clothes/no clothes difference was closer to 1 lb, and this time it was 2 lbs, so I think from now on I will weigh in with no clothes. Always at night, to stay consistent. This may bum me out when I go to the doctor and am weighed fully dressed with shoes on, but I just want to keep things as consistent as possible for myself. I really don't think I lost over 4 lbs this week, but like I said my start weight included clothes. Then again, looking at how many more calories I used than consumed this week, it totals out at 12,501, which converts to 3.57 lbs that should have been lost, so maybe that is accurate!

In any case, I am not expecting such a great loss every week by any means. I am signed up for the 30 lbs by July 4th challenge which I don't really see happening (3 lbs / week, I just don't think I'll keep that up), but it will be interesting to see how far I get. I just hope I can keep motivated for that long. A few years ago I started eating better and used Alli, and had great success--but I was in college, and it just wasn't a conducive diet when dorm food was my main option. I'm considering adding Alli again, but I've noticed that even though my caloric intake has gone down greatly, my fat intake really hasn't. Until I get that more under control I will stay away from Alli as the side effects from too much fat are quite unpleasant.

Anyway, it's been a long day, and I have just as long a day tomorrow, so it's off to bed for me!

I used my roommate's Wii Fit today. I played for about an hour total which included setting up my Mii--I think it was around 40 minutes of actual workout. I'm exhausted! I tried almost all the exercises from each of the categories and did a few of them twice. I wasn't sure how to log it in the exercise diary here so I split it between yoga (which was one of the exercise categories, but there were also other balance activities that I decided fit there) and light calisthenics (step aerobics and other things like that).

I finished feeling great but hot, and over the course of the next several minutes started to feel really sick. I drank some water and hopped in the shower and while I was in there I felt GREAT! I got a total exercise high and wanted to jump out and do some more. When I did actually get out, though, I crashed and now want to sleep forever. I haven't eaten since lunch so I'm thawing some salmon and will have that soon. It's getting a little late to be eating (8:00 pm) but I know I need something in me. I had lunch at about 11:30 and that was just a small bowl of macaroni & cheese.

I weighed myself before I got in the shower and it said 260. When I got my starting weight two days ago it was 265.2 (though I was wearing clothes--no shoes). Even so, I don't think I've lost 3-5 lbs in just two days. Then again it could be water weight as I have been drinking like a fiend. 12 cups yesterday. I must have peed 6 times during my 3 hour class last night. I read somewhere that one of the best predictors of girls/women keeping their weight down is weighing themselves every day. I never saw on this site if it said how often weigh-ins should be done, but I got the impression it was once a week. I will only log it once a week, but will probably continue to check it every day or every other day. We'll see.

I'd really like to find some more buddies. I just need some people to talk to about everything!
