As I approach the 9th anniversary of my second near-death experience, I'm still hanging on out of spite!
Now, back to my 100-yard wind sprints.

Deuce and a quarter!
The more I think I understand my body, the less I know about it.
I finally broke through the 235-240 pound plateau by eating an additional 300-400 calories per day, limiting the consumption of cured meats to once per day (to limit the intake of salt), doing multiple reps of deadlifts at 410 pounds, and performing multiple reps of leg presses at 1000 pounds.
The result is a 10-15 pound loss over the past 5 weeks, more muscle growth, and overall less fat on my body.
At 1800-2000 calories, my body assumed it was in starvation mode and was holding on to as much energy as it could despite my workouts. By eating more food, my metabolic system can work more effectively. Oh well, I don't have any aversion to eating more food.

After four months, my weight stubbornly remains within the 230-240 pounds range. At least I'm not close to 500 pounds anymore. Nevertheless, my body composition undergoes continual transformation, largely attributed to muscle development. I meticulously track everything I consume and maintain a slight calorie deficit. It's time to refrain from weighing myself for a few months as it has become mentally taxing. Instead, I'll gauge my progress by the fit of my clothing.

File this post under "mental health." I took the afternoon off from the office and went to view and photograph the eclipse. I was on a 14,000-acre wildlife reserve without a soul in sight. When totality arrived, I was humbled and felt so insignificant in the movement of the universe, while at the same time, I felt that I was the most important person in the cosmos. That's the best way I can describe it. Really, no words were possible other than "wow."
If you ever get a chance to witness an eclipse, do it alone. It's an entirely different experience.

I'm still living despite the bad genetics!
I recently had my arteries checked because I have tortuosity of the carotid artery. In short, an artery is kinked like a hose, which restricts blood flow. Since my diet consists of 75% fats, this is something to monitor to ensure that no plaque builds up on the artery walls.
I, like the honey badger, just don't care. Onward to the next defect in this flawed body.
No weightloss to report. I'm sitting on a plateau, but my body is still transforming, and my body fat percentage is slowly falling.
