You know when you were in elementary school, and you did something good, you would get a sticker by your name, and seeing those stickers made you feel good? Well, I've loved stickers ever since, and I decided this morning that I'm going to put a star sticker on my planner for every pound that I loose. It will be a visual reminder every day of the progress that I've made, not just seeing numbers on a scale or on a tape measure. It may be elementary, but there's something simple and fun about being a kid that I want to start recapturing as the pounds go away.
Gold star for me! LOL

Day 3 of "Being Aware"
I'm not following a diet, specifically, other than trying to have 3 actual meals and 2 snacks a day, and making sure all of them are helthy options. It's been going good. I'm not feeling like I'm lacking anything that I was eating before. If I want potatoes, instead of buying fries I slice up a potatoe, measure out a serving, season and bake them, oddly enough, I like it better. I know I have to mix it up, differnt flavors will keep things interesting, and keep me from going to old food habbits. Also makinf sure I take lots of options for snacks to work, not just one that I may not want when it's time to eat it... it I take several options, it's a good bet that I'll want at least one of them when the time comes.
The hardest part I'm finding is remembering to eat - that's been my problem for so long... 1 maybe 2 meals a day, and that's it, not because I was holding food back, but because I just didn't feel like eating. My body is basically in starvation mode, holding everything in and not metabolising, because it doesn't know when the next meal will come... I'm slowly changing that, I know it doesn't happen overnight.
Worked out for the first time today also, wow, 20 min only, but I was light headed, decided to wait until this afternoon to do more. I have the Biggest Looser Extreme Workout for the Kinect, it's really challenging for me, but I'm excited to do it again. I need to go out and by an excersize mat though, cause there's excersized to do on the floor and they just kill my knee.
Let's see how tomorrow goes...
