Well...Last week seemed to have been a good week. I am allotted 33 points but it seems that I stay at or below it with the lowest being 28 points. I saved my flex points for this past weekend, once I log everything, I'll see where my points fall. I did step on the scale this morning just to see and it didn't drop much but I have most definitely lost inches. I am wearing a safety pin in my slacks today because I can pull them down without unbuttoning them. I have less dents and dimples in my thighs and I can see and feel the muscle in them. I wore a dress this weekend and couldn't stop looking at my legs. (I know that is borderline vain...if not just plain old vain.)I had on capris yesterday because the temp rose and was so proud of my calves because they were so nice and toned. lol.

Anyhoo...I believe my exercise and change in diet has also contributed to my skin, woman evil curse, and hair. I have always had nice clear skin but my hair has always been a problem for me. What I have noticed is my hair is stronger and healthier - even shinier. It looks really good and it is growing faster than before. Now this may have something to do with me taking vitamins as well, but I think the exercise and change in what I put in my body is a result of this change. My skin (all over) is softer and during the time the evil curse brought down on us by our Mother Eve decides to pay a little visit, the water intake and less sweets has reduced the cramps and seemed to have made her stay a little shorter. I will have more information on that after my visit with my GYN on Wednesday. She may be able to provide more insight on that. I have really been paying attention to my water intake and it seems like I am drinking about 80 to 96 oz of water a day - that is not including the "water" in my smoothie. This is straight water with 16.9 oz of it being mixed with Crystal Light or Slimquick (I need to add that). Hmmm...now that I type this, I wonder if that is aiding me in drinking more water and if it is curbing my appetite. Since I have been doing the drink mix, I notice my caloric and points are down. That is certainly something to think about.

Has anyone else noticed a change in hair strength or look or their skin?

In regards to the superbowl...I ate badly but hey! It was the Superbowl! I was secretly rooting for the Steelers and really wanted them to win - which they did, but because I like to keep the day and game interesting, I rooted for the Cardinals. My son (the youngest) is a football fanatic and told me the Cards burned (I think that is the new slang term for sucks) and the Steelers were the dominant team and they would be the Superbowl Champs. So I asked my little "piggy" (all of my children have nicknames - his is piggy because he ate a lot when he was a baby and now he is tall and skinny, the other two are Chicken and Peanut - for some reason Peanut didn't like Duck - lol) if he wanted to place a wager. This is something we do every year. Last year I won $10 from him but didn't have the heart to take it. We bet $2 each quarter - Whomever's team was leading in that quarter would win the $2. This was piggy's idea so I went for it. I could take at least $2 from the kid. He needs to learn gambling is bad. Needless to say, he did not learn that lesson because the Steelers were in the lead at the conclusion of every quarter, so I am down $8 and he will be gloating in the next week. He can, I did it last year because he was so sure that Tom Brady was "a much better and experienced quarterback than Eli Manning, Eli is not nearly as good as his brother Peyton!" I was like, dude you are 9 years old! What makes you an expert? So I gloated for at least two weeks that my team won while telling him that Pretty Boy Brady choked at Superbowl and apparently his team thinks he's too pretty which is why his line didn't block for him. lol.

Oh' well everyone, off to the gym for an hour of Kwando, then a 45 minute step instructional class.

I have modified my goal weight to 30lb increments. So once I reach the first plateau of 250, then I'll add the next goal and so on. I have done fairly well on the workouts and have done well on staying within my daily point allotment. The challenges and my buddies have made me more conscious of what I am eating. After all, two of my buddies work with me so if I am going to fuss at them for not adhering to better choices then I should be a winning example. I am working out with my best friend KD (kngilber)and we are going to do the step class. I will see where my hunger is at, but I should be okay with just my smoothie for dinner this evening.

Something funny to share with you moms...my oldest son has a crush on this girl that lives in our neighborhood who looks like Lyndsey Lohan. So, he and his friend (who is her best friend) decide to go over to her house to play playstation. I found all this out from his Daniel's (his friend) little sister. So he comes home and he's all dressed up looking really handsome, it almost brough tears to my eyes because I realized my 13 year old was growing up. I ask him if he had fun at Lyndsey Lohan's house and he says "How did you know I was over there!" I told him that I can see through Walls and can read their minds because they are my children! There are no secrets from me. All mom's have that ability. When our boys are in the game room or my oldest's sons bedroom I can hear them in my closet. He tells his brothers that I told him I can see through walls and read their minds. The youngest (Treon) says no, she can't and the middle one (Larry) is siding with Tre. So they decide to all think the same thing - they will think that they want pizza for dinner and see if I can read their minds.

So I go upstairs and look at them and tell them "okay, we will have a splurge night but I am going to make the pizza, not buy any" You all should have seen the look on their faces! It was priceless. My husband told me I should not deceive them like that but if they think I can see through walls and know what they are thinking, they will think twice before they try something, right? So, I have my children believing I have superpowers and I am enjoying every minute of it. They are still trying to figure out, how I know who they call and text. Gotta love the internet!

I haven't had a chance to journal anything down. Okay I have noticed something of a trend. If I do not journal anything down or if I am sick, I tend to eat more and gain some weight because I am not exercising like I should so my metabolism is slowing down - thus resulting in weight gain.

Today I am really going to get back in the game. I made a great attempt on Tuesday by going to the gym and doing a Zumba class which is a serious workout. That was nonstop high impact for 45 minutes straight. The cool down even felt like it was going too fast for a cool down. One thing I have noticed is that I sleep better and I wake up really refreshed if I do a high impact workout the night before. The only thing is, it took 2 hours after the workout for my body to slow down. I was still hyper, I felt like I could have did another class and it was 10:30 pm!

Wednesday was my youngest son's birthday, he is now 11, so I just did a quick 30 minute workout video at home. I didn't feel like I did anything. Last night was project night for the oldest son - he had to make modeling clay, paint it, and decorate it. Tonight is drive-in movie night (yes I did say drive-in) where we get two new released movies for the price of one! This is always fun because our whole truck only will run us about $22 and there are five of us, so that is less than $5 a person for two movies. I think we are going to see Underworld:Rise of the Lycans and Mall Cop. Because I am such a big baby, I hope Mall Cop is the last movie that is played, that way I won't be dreaming about the Underworld movie. lol. Tomorrow the hubby and I are going to the Cardio Fusion class and doing some housework or rather garage work.

Can anyone explain the exercise diary in regards to the desk work, I just don't think I am burning that many calories sitting at my desk. I type a lot and I am moving around but that has a lot to do with listening to my IPOD while I type, I just start dancing in my seat. What is everyone else's thoughts on this?
