Not my first merry-go-round. Battling weight and self-esteem issues since adolescence. 7 years ago I weight 307lbs, was on the verge of slowly killing myself and decided to get real. With the help of a health coach, a nutritionist, a trainer and good old common sense mixed with sweat and tears, I lose over 100lbs in about 15 months. Fast forward to 3 years ago slowly starting to put nearly most of it back on. So, here I go again. Focusing on low carb, low but good fats, and high protein. First goal is 10% of my body weight and then I will start regular exercise.

Here I Go Again
Starting over... I've been using FatSecret to track food and exercise for over 7 years. The first time I was successful losing over 100 lbs during a 15 month period by eating healthy and exercise. At that time, I started at 307lbs. Now, after the last 2-3 years putting nearly all of it back on, I am starting back at it. Implementing all I have learned, I am currently attending Weight Watchers, eating low carb, low but good fat, and high protein foods. Still struggling to be more active, even though I have a Bowflex in my living room. My initial goal is to lose 10% of my body weight and then start ramping up the exercise. So far I am at about 5%... averaging about 1.5lbs a week. I guess slow and steady wins the race!
