gaining 0.5 lb a week

It's always something. I started a downward slide with daylight saving time kicking my butt, followed by my son's birthday, then my parents' visit. Shortly thereafter my husband lost his job and then I got sick. Right after that I was finally diagnosed with ADHD and started Adderall.
On one hand, yes that's a lot and maybe I should give myself some grace. But on the other hand, there's always going to be SOMETHING. How many somethings am I going to get derail me? How long before I'll get back on track and how easily will I let myself be pushed off again?
Scale is still moving in the right direction; I'm still watching what I eat - just not logging as carefully as I'd like to be. Still drinking water, but I need to amp that up again. Need to get moving and exercising again. It takes more effort to get myself going again after a slip; need to figure out how not to slip again!

Go figure - I start this challenge and out of no where I have both allergies and an awful cold come hit me over the head with a sledgehammer. Doing the best I can to muddle though, and it's so damn hard to not beat myself up for not doing all the things I want to do, even if I'm not currently capable of doing them.
I have to keep reminding myself this is all part of the process. Life is going to happen; the trick is not to get caught up on it. Let life be life, and keep on living.
That doesn't sound nearly as eloquent as I'd like it to, but I'm blaming the current brain fog. Got some meds; hopefully feeling better within a new days.
