I am competing for the title of Mrs. Oklahoma this year and will be competing in my first figure competition in 2012. I have a love hate relationship with cardio and sugar. One is a challenge and the other is a foe. I am passionate about wellness, my dogs, my beautiful husband and my community. I am truly blessed to live a life so full of joy. I feel strongly that my health is a gift. It is not one I take lightly. I am thankful for every day...even the rough ones.

Hi :)
Merry leeway, yep, you are correct. There are some variables. There is a great formula online ( I don't remember where) that can help. Right now, I would tell you to put the scale away...far, far away. It is going to mess with your head. Ask yourself this, " do I care what I weigh, or do I care how I look and feel?" so if your clothes get baggy and you look fit and trim will you be mad if you don't weigh 110? Please say no!

You didn't get heavy or unhealthy in a few months, please don't try to undo it in a few months. Slow and steady.....reasonable, healthy weight loss with muscle gain.

Good luck and don't ever ever give up. This journey takes a lifetime.

What or should you eat before you exercise?
If you workout early in the am, you will get more out of that workout without food. For women especially, your metabolism will stay elevated longer. Post workout balanced, clean carbs, clean, natural protein and a fruit. It makes a difference. Good luck! And good for you for going so early.
